Caralagun has two domains now

I have moved all the content we had at Zopelana server to our new hard disk. We have actually an excellent backbone with America and the speed of the server with our four sites must be stressed in my opinion. But try it out, please, so we can say our service is OK or awesome, why not! We have purchased the second domain Caralagun.com for all our members. Therefore, from now on, if your are a member of Cara Association and pay the annual fee, you can have a site here with us. Cara supports members' websites and you, Ireland and the Basque Country win too. Be tuned!
The new domains are:

http://caralagun.com [English version]
http://caralagun.com/es [Spanish version]
http://caralagun.com/eu [Basque version]
http://caralagun.com/ga [Irish or Gaelic version]

And meanwhile we continue with the first domain Caralagun.org

Irish Rugby not what it used to be?

Last Saturday, a more than dubious try saved us from what could have been an embarassing defeat by Italy. Thankfully, an additional three points from a penalty meant that we would finally have won in any event. One has to admit that the Italian team was quite packed with Argentinian-born and indeed one New Zealand-born player. However, all commentators seemed to agree that a lot of work needs to be done before our next match. Scotland pulled off an impressibe win against France, and England beat last years grand-slammers, Wales. Interesting times lie ahead!

Emily Smith sings a beautiful Irish song

You can read the article about Emily Smith's concert in the Basque version of Cara. It has been an excellent concert of the Scottish folk singer Emily Smith with McClenna and Byrne with the violin and guitars. Moreover, the first song was an Irish one. Do not forget that next month Mary Black will come back to Bilbao. As a Cara member is a must to be there in that day. Be ready.

Irish baby names

This site CSO.ie is useful for facts and figures about Ireland. I have shown the link bellow to the CSO release showing the most common Irish names. I think there is a list of top 100 in this somewhere. Maybe you can find equivalents in Basque/Spanish and write a little piece showing what is common or different in both places.

Take a look at the most used Irish baby names (it is a PDF file): Babynames.pdf

Thanks to Cavahooah.com website for the photo of the baby
