Irish students in Erandio

Geografy students from University College Cork will be in Biscay with us till next Monday. Yesterday they had the opportunity to be with the major of Erandio Mr. Mikel Arietaaraunabeña. Rocco Caira, consul of Ireland in Bilbao, and Gorka J. Palazio, chairman of Cara Cultural Association, were there as well. The Council of Erandio gave a gift to all the students and teachers (Fiona and Darius) and after finishing the ceremony within the Town Council House, everybody could take a beer and some pintxos thanks to Joseba Goikouria. Pretty good weather in Erandio and excellent people from the Southern territories of Cork, Tralee, Killerney... We hope you have a good time in the Basque Country and enjoy our land, sports, people, harbors and buildings... Here we have some shots taken yesterday in Erandio, the best city of the world according to experts in the field of sustainability.

Mary Black at Euskalduna Palace

Amazing Mary Black Irish singer's concert yesterday evening at Euskalduna in Bilbao. The only problem I found was the sound. The voice of Mary Black appeared with a bad effect in the background because the guitars and piano were too high. Despite that, the best, the opportunity to meet one of the best Irish singers. Here you have some shots taken in this event by me: Mary Black with Erramun and Mariki and the Euskalduna Palace before the concert.

England 24-28 Ireland

the matchThe French team is the champion of the RBS 6 Nations Torunament this year. Ireland has failed to beat England by a big enough margin. Despite this, Irish rugby team has been the best against England at Twickenham. Here you have some snapshots taken in The Piper's Irish Tavern. We have seen an awesome match and the best piece of news is that Ireland has won today, not the tournament, but this important match. In the photo below you can see Ronan O'Gara, one of the best players today.
